The purpose of this course is to introduce types of line test equipment used in the field to detect voltage, amperage, and resistance; to show how this equipment is used; and to show the kinds of readings that can be expected from this equipment.

After completing this course, participants should be able to identify types of line test equipment used in the field. They should have a basic understanding of the use of this equipment; they should know how to determine which instrument to use; and they should be able to demonstrate the use of each meter to take a reading.
