The purpose of this course is to describe why and how temporary structures may be used to support transmission lines. Circumstances that could lead to a need for temporary structures are presented, and positioning, assembly, and guying of a temporary structure are demonstrated. How to transfer lines to a temporary structure is also explained.

At the conclusion of this course, participants should understand why temporary structures are sometimes used. They should understand how to position, assemble, and guy a temporary structure. They should also be able to explain how to safely transfer transmission lines to a temporary structure.
