Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Typical Site Hazards

This short course introduces the student to various types of Personal Protective Equipment and the hazards that are commonly encountered on a construction site.  Some of the topics covered in this course include:

• Types of Basic PPE
• Employer’s Responsibilities
• Fire Extinguishers
• First Aid/CPR and Trained Individuals
• Typical Site Hazards
• Trips and Slips
• Potable Water
• Unsanitary Conditions
• Traffic
• Electricity
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
• Steps and Ladders

This course includes a final exam that must be passed with a grade of 75% or higher.
