The purpose of this course is to teach the basic principles of operation and maintenance of a multiple street lighting system. The course presents the fundamental theory of operation and identifies the equipment typically found in a multiple street lighting system. Approaches to detecting and correcting common problems are also shown.

At the conclusion of this course, participants should have a basic understanding of how multiple street lighting systems work, what equipment they use, and how they are controlled. Participants should be able to detect and correct common problems in a multiple street lighting system.
