Approximately 100 fatalities and 20,000 serious injuries in general industry and construction occur annually due to powered industrial truck related accidents. With such staggering statistics, an employer is morally and legally obligated to take every safety precaution possible when dealing with powered industrial trucks. This course focuses not only on the OSHA standards for properly training employees to operate industrial trucks, but also the rules and regulations that must be followed to safely operate forklifts.
